There are 4 publishers which had printed phonecards Bulgaria: BTC (Bulgarian Telecommunication Company - from 1982 to 1997), Betkom (from June 1990 to December 1998), Mobika (since 1999), Bulfon (since 1996).
There are also 3 publishers of GSM cards however they are not listed in this catalog.
In May 1982 had been installed the first BTC machines for magnetic phonecards. All BTC phonecards are repeatedly rechargeable.
Since 1988 using phonecards became very popular in Bulgaria. In 1998 Betkom started production of the first CHIP phonecards therefore the old magnetic cards went out of use.
At the present 2 companies produce phoncards in Bulgaria - Mobika and Bulfon.
